Getting Started

How do I get started with Airpoint?

Download the app, grant camera access when prompted, and raise your hand in front of your webcam. The cursor will start following your hand immediately.

What webcam should I use?

Any webcam works! Built-in laptop cameras, external USB webcams, and even some phone cameras via continuity camera all work great.

Does it work on multiple monitors?

Yes! Airpoint automatically scales to your full display area, including multiple monitors.

Gestures

How do I click?

Pinch your thumb and index finger together. Our ML model ensures only intentional pinches register as clicks.

How do I scroll?

Use a two-finger pinch (thumb + middle finger) and move your hand up or down to scroll.

Can I right-click?

Yes! In Pro, you can configure custom gesture mappings including right-click with a different pinch combination.

Troubleshooting

The cursor is jittery

Try increasing the smoothing setting in preferences. Also ensure you have good lighting on your hand.

Clicks aren't registering

Make sure you're doing a clear pinch motion. You can adjust the click threshold in settings.

Hand tracking stopped working

Check that Airpoint still has camera permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.

Is Pro a subscription?

No! Pro is a one-time purchase. You get all future updates included.
